Stern Alumni Invited to Join Columbia, Penn and MIT Alumni at July 29 Social Event

You’re Invited! Join Area Alumni from Penn, Columbia, MIT, Wharton and Chicago in a Fantastic Summer, Multi-club Night of Music and Fun in at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 29.

The Stern Alumni of Minnesota Club has partnered with the local chapters of Penn, Columbia, MIT, Wharton and Chicago clubs to bring you an exciting multi-club social opportunity! Please join us for this two-part event, which will begin at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 29 in St. Paul.

Schedule:

5:30-7:30pm: Cocktail Hour at McNally Smith College of Music

Come socialize with local Alumni from Penn, Columbia, MIT, Wharton and Chicago in the scenic penthouse café of McNally Smith with live music provided by the Mickelson Trio.

Cost: $15/person

7:30: Joan Armatrading in Concert at the Minneapolis Cultural Center

Concert ticket holders may leave at 7:00pm and still make it to the Cedar Cultural Center (in Minneapolis) in time for the show.
Joan Armatrading is a Grammy-nominated British Folk singer

Cost: $39-$42

PARKING & DIRECTIONS
McNally Smith College of Music, located at 19 Exchange Street East, Saint Paul MN 55101. There are several options for parking:

Street Parking:The majority of Saint Paul’s street parking is metered from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Saturday, and free after 4:30pm
The 7A Municipal Parking Ramp(entrance on Exchange St, between Wabasha and St Peter) provides a skyway entrance into the main campus building. Take the elevators to the 2nd floor, and follow the signs for McNally Smith College of Music.

ENTRANCES TO MCNALLY SMITH COLLEGE OF MUSIC
The cocktail hour will be held on the third floor of the 19 Exchange Street campus building in the newly renovated and scenic “penthouse” café overlooking the State Capitol. There will be signs at all entrances directing guests to the third floor.

Main Entrance: located through the McNally Smith Courtyard, at the corner of Exchange St and Wabasha. Secure access, please ring for entrance and check in at the front desk.
Cedar Street: located on Cedar Street, between 10th Street and Exchange Street, handicap accessible entrance. Elevator and stairwell adjacent. Take elevator or stairwell to the 3rd floor for the McNally Smith Café.
Theatre/Auditorium Entrance: located on the corner of 10th Street and Cedar Avenue, enters into the 1st Floor Atrium.
Skyway Entrance: enters to the 2nd floor from the Gallery Building, a handicap accessible entrance. Continue to the end of the 2nd floor breezeway to access elevator or stairwell to the 3rd floor for the McNally Smith Café *Accessible from the 7A Municipal Parking Ramp, take elevators to the 2nd floor and follow the signs for McNally Smith College of Music.

An Open Letter From the Organizing Committee

As  fellow NYU Stern alumni, we would like to invite you to join our renewed efforts to bring Minnesota Stern alumni together on an ongoing basis.

The new NYU-Stern Alumni of Minnesota chapter will begin holding monthly meetings in which you can network, debate challenging business topics, present and receive feedback on new business plans, and pitch investment ideas.  Additionally, we would like to provide recent graduates with the opportunity to connect with experienced alumni, and discuss career opportunities.

Our first meeting will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010  in the atrium of the Mill Place Building, 111 Third Avenue South, 55401.  You may park in the lot adjacent to the building between First and Second Street off  Third Avenue South. The purpose of the meeting will be to obtain your input regarding future events and activities.
